I have seen a lot of comments and tags on this post of mine about how if Taylor were to host a tumblr party only the “popular” blog owners would get to go, as if someone having more followers than they ever imagined they would somehow makes them undeserving of Taylor’s love. Followers do not…

well said :) i do not think they are undeserving at all and i am in no way saying that people with tons of followers are mean or ungrateful or anything .. i would honestly be happy if any of my favorite blogs/people that i follow got to go to a tumblr party!! but something that i do feel people have the right to be upset about (although this does not give anyone the right to judge others’ character) is that if taylor does not follow you, you will probably not be invited. and taylor most likely found blogs to follow because they posted photos and text posts that got lots of notes (which happens because they have lots of dedicated followers). i am not followed by taylor and while i was okay with that (i mean of course i’d love love love to be but i know it’s an unrealistic dream) the fact that she may have a tumblr party and invite those she follows makes me wish that i had more followers so i would have a greater chance of her finding my blog and following me.

i was not one of the people replying to your post by the way, i just thought i’d share my opinion!!! you are a wonderful human being who is so deserving of your followers / taylor following you so please don’t think that i’m saying that i wouldn’t be over the moon happy if you got to spend the day with her! it just sucks for some of us because like, for me, i’ve been a HUGE swiftie since i was seven years old (2006) and i know that i will probably never meet her. :)

Thank you for that input and for your kind words! No need to worry; I agree with you. It is easier to get a follow from Taylor when you are more well-known in the fandom. I think everyone can agree with this. And if a tumblr party were to happen, I can easily see the people she follows getting an invite. I am not upset over others being sad about not being followed. You have every right to be, and I certainly would be too. I am simply irritated because some people act as if the popular bloggers are evil people who don’t deserve to meet Taylor, which is far from the truth. We’re just regular fans who happen to have more followers than we think we deserve. Hopefully my post wasn’t taken the wrong way because I do wish everyone could be invited. Best wishes for you. I hope you get followed!

tay-is-my-bae asked: I just started this blog. I was just wondering if you wouldn't mind having a little look and following if you'd like? xxx

Sure!

I have seen a lot of comments and tags on this post of mine about how if Taylor were to host a tumblr party only the “popular” blog owners would get to go, as if someone having more followers than they ever imagined they would somehow makes them undeserving of Taylor’s love. Followers do not define a blog owner. Please stop with the attitude that the fans with several thousand followers are rude and arrogant. Not just in this situation, but in every day life. It’s not a fair way to judge someone’s personality or worthiness, nor will it ever be.

If a wave of invites suddenly spreads through the fandom and I don’t get one I hope one of you spills the beans and tells me so I’ll stop looking like an idiot with all my posts.

But imagine…getting invited to a listening party…off in some other land…and you being all excited…and sobbing on the floor…while your mom tells you…we don’t have enough money…the ultimate heartbreak…

*thinks about what outfit to wear to the listening party*

Tumblr fans are literally always ahead of the game and can predict most things like listen we can predict Taylor’s red carpet dresses hours before she arrives so I’m pretty sure if we’re all predicting there’s going to be a tumblr listening party there is absolutely going to be one I bet you ten bucks it’s gonna happen.

I’m worried that even if I was invited to a listening party I wouldn’t have the money to go.
